I got a love that keeps me waiting.

OMGAAWW WINTER BREAK ALREADY.

At the end of every semester, it’s like I forgot how to handle finals week.  Like, how did I manage to survive it the previous 4 times?!  But I did it.  I’m done!  No more school until the Summer!!!!!

WRONG.

I was emailed my training material that I must complete prior to my training.  Womp womp, I’ll save that for my other blog.

Today, I managed to shower and dress in something other than sweat pants.  I signed up for my one month of free Netflix (gift and curse).  So far, I’ve seen a really strange murder mystery movie, a really bad Katherine Heigl movie, and a surprisingly decent Bradley Cooper thriller.

Before I continue on to watch Romeo + Juliet (LOVE), I remembered I must consolidate (@_@) my Bucket List.  Those who know me know how bad I am at completing lists…

  1. Second story Pizza (yeah I’m a junior, why hasn’t this happened yet?)
  2. Find my roommate a sublease; she’s a super cunt :(
  3. Go to a basketball game (aka, bball with Mae—11/14!)
  4. Perkins Pie Date with Mae and Loobz; Kevin brought pie to us, yumm
  5. Go one week without a quesadilla
  6. Buy a beanie
  7. One more blackout; not really a blackout, but the last four days were just a drunken blurrr
  8. Dad’s weekend
  9. Wake up early enough to get a chocolate ole; wake up early…paha
  10. Go to BADM; fuck badm,  I got the A- I didn’t think I could get, but fully deserved.
  11. Almost Famous; great movie, go watch it.  thanks Mae!
  12. Offend a hipster (again); I made someone think I hate them without saying anything, not really proud of this as I was the first time…but it’s for principle.
  13. Learn how to prepare a hookah; eh, I smoke enough of it, I should know how.
  14. Get Mae addicted to gchat; lost causee :P
  15. Ride the Rail at Legends

A valiant effort, I think.  I’m going to miss school and my friends a hella lot.

I get sad everytime I go back to my Dublin blog.

Omgggg Dublin!  I miss it so much!  Not a single fuck was given over there; I just did whatever, whenever.  Not to mention I passed both of my classes there with A’s; I have yet to catch a break with two A’s in one semester at U of I.

But I guess the one good thing about America is Thanksgiving Break…..and Friends marathon on TV.  So two good things. :)

Monday Night Bro’s???!!  Get out.

I had a fantastical time going to the men’s basketball game with Mae, Jake, and Sasha.  We walked into Assembly Hall like ballers; fashionably late; in seats that weren’t ours; I pregamed a tiny bit too much and couldn’t see straight for much of the first half; we got nachos WITHOUT jalapenos, so basically just chips and cheese (“they’re in the pretzels…”); eventually lost the buzz (and if I’m sober then everyone is sober); Lurch aka Meyers Leonard was comical; sometime during the game it was decided we were going to Murph’s after, not that I had homework to do or anything…

Pit stopped at home to regain our buzz; Packers game was on (bleck); couldn’t bring homework to Murph’s because beer was threatened to be poured all over it; got to Murph’s and they treated us HORRIBLY; took refuge at Brother’s; Long Island #1; run into people; bathroom break; Long Island #2; jam to some awesome music; Long Island #toocooltokeeptrackatthispoint; eventually leave and go to Geo’s for some bomb-ass chicken strips; waiting for our order, in walks frat starz; some dude is wearing pajama pants with UK flags on it; turns out he’s British; he was also sporting two different shoes; too drunk to remember why but it was his birthday; too drunk to remember any of the multiple conversations we had with these guys but they were in a frat that was definitely made up or something; get our chicken strips; walk back to apartment; TOUGH LOVE MIAMI + NOM NOM NOM.

Hungover as fuck the next morning.  Hollaaaa.

I dreamt about corn last night.

I’ve clearly reached my limit on environmental science.  But alas, I just finished the homework….that is technically due 23 hours from now.  Oh well, I like being ahead and I got a 10/10 hollaa.

After last week’s pure hell, I feel like this week is going to be a breeze.  And now’s where I come back to reality.  To balance my sanity, I made a Fall Semester Bucket List.  Yes, bittersweet.

The other night I also though it would be a good idea to start a new blog in January, completely dedicated to my internship.  I feel like I will blog better with a really good focus.  I miss my Ireland blog hella lot….well, I mean, I miss Ireland hella lot.  And it’s not like I’m going to be doing anything else exciting in those months.  Shalala.

Go and talk to your parents and grandparents, right meow!

I had to interview my family members on their work histories for an LER paper.  Wow, this was just so enlightening and I learned a lot from my family.  My grandpa worked part time at a movie theater (“cinema house” as he called it) for 15 years!  And although I may talk to my mom as if she was 12 years old, it’s just the rudest thing.  She knows what’s up, she’s seen everything go down the tank!  My parents started at $3/hour when they got their first jobs in America; imagine living off of that right now…

Go and talk to your family!  You can learn so much from them!

Walking realizations

I can’t believe I survived this week.  Makes me feel I can do just about anything.  Yeah, no let’s get real!

It’s November.  Which means I have two months until my internship begins.  My roommate is already making me depressed (Mae shout out!).  But seriously, it’s going to suck being away from all my friends for months.  But I got emails from all the staff members and partners I met during my interview process and they welcomed me on board.  It’s going to be a challenging few months, and I’ll see whether tax is the right career path for me.

On my walk home from class, I thought about all the “fun” things I can do while I’m at home.  And then I made this decision:  after I get my first paycheck, I’m going to buy all the seasons of Smallville I don’t have yet (5, 8, and 10 if I’m not mistaken) and I’m going to watch ALL OF THEM.

FROM THE BEGINNING.

I’M NOT JOKING.

I disappointed myself when I couldn’t keep up with the show anymore and then it was OVE.  But seriously, that show is my favorite of all freaking time, and now I can afford to have all of them.  ALL OF THEM.

I mean, what else am I going to do at home?,  I also thought, “Hey, you could get a Netflix account, since that’s all the rage,” and a few seconds later “OMG I’m finally going to have time to read books that I WANT to read.”

Though I had this overwhelming amount of positivity run through me about being home next semester, it’s still going to be really hard getting over the fact that I’m not going to be around the friends whom I love very much.

Oh yay some frat boy is yelling outside.  I’ll miss that too.  -__-

Simply Cider.

Interesting weekend to say the least.  Mae and Christina brought home a puppy from Kentucky on Friday night.  Not really, but Mr. Jim Beam was hella lost and it was chilly.

Hmm, what else…storage bins in the fridge, moms on speaker phone, studying at IHOP, Jake’s 21st, ISR reunion, Halloweentown….

Wish I can go back in time because this week is going to be pure hell.

It’s just like pouring sunshine in your mouth.
